A Talk by Nguyễn Thế Sơn (Hanoi)
For the last ten years, Nguyễn Thế Sơn has been observing the changes of the Vietnamese cityscape, trying to understand the stories behind the process of erasure. In this presentation, Nguyễn will talk about his artistic practice, which encompasses silk painting, photography, photo relief and photo installation.
About Nguyễn Thế Sơn
Nguyễn Thế Sơn (b. 1978) is a Master’s degree graduate from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, China. Since 2012, he has been working as a lecturer at the Vietnam Fine Arts University.

imag(in)e sea is a series of talks featuring talented individuals who work with photography in Southeast Asia. It takes place whenever/wherever the opportunity arises, providing a space for different photo-based practices to meet/collide. Occasionally, it aims to highlight the work of notable individuals beyond the region. It is supported by Select Books and Invisible Photographer Asia.
